I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
