The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.
